Bless me Father for I have sinned. I have not been
to an NCRS convention in Boston since 1985, or was it 1995? |
|
Above: those old girls being road tested were in
the fresh air tent. The NCRS booth with publications, apparel and accessories
is center. In you look carefully, Mort is in the blue denim club shirt,
slightly bent over, just to the left of the second vertical tent pole. He
gave my wife a deal on some spaghetti strap tops. Thanks. (I didn't know
what a spaghetti strap even was, till Deb told me; but she didn't know what
a rebound strap was at one time.) |
|
Above: this was the 50th anniversary and this approximate
3x4 foot poster has always been one of my favorite Campbell Ewald creations.
And the owner has become a snowbird. |
|
Above: the main showroom, air conditioned for the
old codgers was packed with fiberglass. Much nicer than they ever were when
new. |
|
Above: The level of lumens was outstanding and
really presented a challange with hot spots on the film. |
|
Above a rare recreation of The Last
Supper 2007 and the 12 Apostles. It also reminds me of a
Norman Rockwell, but the subject eludes me. |
|
Above: Buzz and Todd would have felt right at home. |
|
|
Above and Left are the main
reasons "they don't write songs about Volvo's". |
|
|
Above: in the far corner, the snack bar with dogs
and such was an exceptional value. A friend bought me (a dog), Deb (a burger)
and his own lunch with non carbonated non-ethanol beverages and it was only
26 bux. I'm still in the time warp of 10 cent coffee and 24.9 cent Sunoco
260. Thanks Joe. |
|
Above and below: it was so bright and shiny, I
got a neon tan and my chromactic lenses stayed dark. |
