TSB or Technical Service Bulletins are service notices
that were mailed to GM dealerships to solve unanticipated problems. During
warranty and service the GM dealerships reported these problems to the
GM central office, which then devised a "fix" and then alerted
all franchised dealers of the solution via these bulletins. In the 1960's
Chevrolet bulletins were Yellow and varied in length, depending upon the
problems to be solved.
The 4 page bulletin pictured below addresses the buzzing
by inserting a modified plastic manual window crank bearing onto the cross
shaft that the shifter main shaft pivots upon.
