This 1967 Corvette
was owned by Queens, NY drag racer Astoria Chas who died in Vietnam. He
never had a chance to race it as he intended. |

|
It was delivered as
a 435 HP 427 and a crate L-88 was installed for drag racing. |
|
|
After his untimely
death, his old friends drag raced it and set the AHRA record for it's class.
Bill Foster in the center drove. |
|
|
The rear window still
has the White shoe polish showing the time and class from that record setting
day at the drag strip. |

I watched this beauty as it entered the DeMonte
Motorspots garage, and took this video
of the KO-MOTION. |
